University or college (undergraduate)

Higher education in Canada consists of colleges and universities. Each offers unique opportunities for learning and growth. At universities and vocational schools, the days of learning are based on practical work. If woodworking is his job, he can spend a day designing and building kitchen cabinets. In short, you have plenty of opportunities to practice your skills in a real work environment.

Lectures, labs, tutorials, and workshops are part of everyday life at the university. It is this diversity that characterizes college life and provides a blend of learning and action that prepares students for the careers of the future. Professors and instructors schedule office hours for students so they can meet with students to discuss assignments and questions. Each class also has at least one teaching assistant or lab assistant (usually a graduate student in the same field) who also provides additional study support to students.
